Does the battery replacement has to be nature's generator brand? can the battery be bought at auto zone? How long does the inverters last. Are we allowed to change the battery out with a lithium battery if we desire?
Hi Joel, Thank you for your query. As much as possible, we highly recommend that you source your replacement parts through us, mainly to avoid voiding the warranty and for assured compatibility. Although, in theory, what you asked is possible as long as the right specifications are met. However, regarding the lithium replacement, this is something that the battery management in the generator does not currently support therefore, this is not going to be viable. If you have any follow-up questions, you may contact us either via phone, chat, or email at support@naturesgenerator.com.

Can I replace the 12v 100ah AGM Sealed Lead Acid battery with a 12v 200ah AGM Sealed Lead Acid on any/all of your generators?
Nature's Generator has taken considerable time to review the different battery options. While both provide pros and cons, we ultimately decided to choose the safer and more affordable option, which is the 60ah/100Ah sealed-lead acid. Sadly, the charge controller and the battery management system installed in the generator will not be able to support a 200ah battery. If you have additional queries or any follow-up questions, please do not hesitate to send an email to support@naturesgenerator.com

I am interested in using the unit as a UPS to protect my online equipment and a freezer…from power surges and outages…I know you need to have it plugged in either AC of solar…does this limit the life of the batteries by not running them down before recharging…also…can you put in a bypass switch to go from AC to Solar…which system would you suggest…thanks
Hi Anthony Forcina, thank you for your query. Actually, having to avoid the battery being depleted is best for the battery as it actually prolongs its overall lifespan. Regarding AC and solar charging, you can simultaneously charge both ways it's way faster and no worries, your opinions, and feedback is highly appreciated, we'll be more than happy to let the team know, for future features and improvements. If you have further questions, you may send us a direct query at support@naturesgenerator.com we'll be more than happy to assist you!

I was wondering. If it would be beneficial to plug 3 solar panels into a battery pod. I have 2 plugged into my pod now. Or, is 2 panels all it will handle?
Hi, the Elite unit (Generator and pods) can support 3 solar panels each at most. The more solar panels that you connect, the faster the system will charge. Feel free to send us a direct message at support@naturesgenerator.com if you have further questions.

I have a small Frigidaire chest freezer model MFC07M3FW1 and a whirlpool refrigerator model W8TXNGMW*0*. I definitely want to operate the freezer. Will this generator operate either one of these in an emergency? If not, which generator will?
Hi, an Elite gold system is tested to run a full-size fridge/freezer for 13-20 hours on a single charge. The maximum power output is 3600-Watts and as long as your appliances are within the specified wattage, they can run. If you have additional queries, please send us an email at support@naturesgenerator.com.

Hi! I live in a 2nd floor apartment whose small balcony faces North/Northeast and Eastern side is covered by palms and may not get enough direct sunlight because of the upper floors in the building. Can the Nature's Generator Gold System be powered enough with indirect sunlight? What can I do living in an apartment?
Hello Wil,
Thanks for your inquiry.
Nature's generator solar panel can still charge even if it is not getting full sunlight. Just be reminded that the charging efficiency might decrease and might result in a longer charging time if the panels are not getting full sunlight.
You may also charge the generator on your wall outlet using the AC cable included in the package.
Should you have any concerns or questions, please email us at support@naturesgenerator.com

1. Would this run a A/C unit that has a start wattage of 2,900 and run of 1300 if so how long?
2. Would it run a microwave at 120v 60Hz, 1350w if yes how long
3. Heater at 1500w if yes how long?
Not running all at the same time
4. if battery is drained completely how long for the two panels to recharge completely is it 100w per hour, day, min?
Hello Kade,
Thanks for your inquiry.
I appreciate your time reaching us. If you will just have the Gold system you are unable to run this AC unit, since it has only 1200Wh battery capacity same goes with your microwave and heater. Using the Nature's Generator Power Panel - Estimated recharge time: 10 - 12 hrs. Just to set your proper expectations, our products are built to power small appliances and if you really want to power that equipment you will need to have an elite generator and add approximately 8 to 10 pods. It will cost you a lot.

Will this generator operate for appliances (stove, stand up freezer and refrigerator) that are around 18 years old? I understand I may have to alternate them, but wanted to make sure this unit will be able to provide power to them since they are older appliances.
Yes, older appliances can be powered by the Generator as long as these are compatible to run on 120 volt AC and are within the required wattage which is supported by the Generator. If you have additional questions, please feel free to email us at support@naturesgenerator.com, we'll be more than happy to assist you.

I'd like to run a 1,500 w space heater up to 8 hours. Will this product accommodate the run time? If I were to want to run the next day, would I need to recharge with the 2) 300w solar panels and for about how many hrs? - thanks AJ.
Hello AJ,
Thanks for your inquiry.
You can run a 1,500 w space heater on our Nature's Generator Elite - Gold System, However you can only run it for an average of 30 minutes. If you want to extend the run time, you can consider adding some power pods.
Each power pod can extend the run time for an average of 45mins - 1hour.
The recharge time of Nature's Generator will also be dependent on the amount of sunshine the Power Panel is receiving on any given day. Fewer clouds and more direct sunshine will help the charging performance. Adding additional Power Panels lessens the recharge time. Nature's Generator can handle up to 200 watts of solar recharging power and Nature's Generator Elite can handle up to 300 watts of solar recharging power.
Should you have any other concern please email us directly at support@naturesgenerator.com

Any of these generators can be used to run a RV A/C? I Have a Dometic AC for my camper but don’t want to use gas powered generators. Thanks
Hello Juan,
Thanks for reaching us!
It will depend on how many BTU's your A/C have. We have Nature’s Generator Window AC Package. If your A/C runs 6000 BTU approximately 16 hours of total run time if you were to use our Nature’s Generator Window AC Package. Much better if you can give us the exact BTU of your A/C for us to determine it as well.

There is a sticker on my generator which says you can save power by turning off the generator when charging directly from a wall socket or when not in use. Is the battery still charging off the solar panels when the generator is turned off?
Hello Jeff,
Thanks for reaching us!
Yes if you charge it from a wall socket even if it's off the battery will charge. You will know it is recharging when the LCD
display lights up, the AC input icon is illuminated on the LCD display and the battery bar starts registering.
The battery bar stops registering when the battery is full and the AC Input light changes from
red to green.

Is there a certain temperature they have to be stored in? I plan on storing this in a shipping container in Southern California. Also, can I plug in a power strip to one of the plugs to charge more than three items at once? I plan on charging Li- ion batteries for tools with rechargeable batteries. Each charger states input: 100-240V 50-60hz 6.0A max Output: 42v -- 12.0A. So how many of these could I have plugged in at once? Thank you for the help.
Hello-
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Below are the recommended operating and storage temeperatures.
- Operating temperature: 32-104 °F (0-40 °C)
- Storage Temperature: 23–111 °F (-5–45 °C)
You are able to plug in a power strip should you need to. In regards to the chargers for your batteries, at 120V (our AC output is 120V) and 6.0 Amps you are looking at about 700W or so. At that wattage output, you are looking at about 1.5 hours of continous run time on the generator battery alone.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

Why not use lithium batteries
Hello-
Please see below reason why we went with SLA vs Lithium.
- Lithium does not have the ability to expand the system further than one battery. Meaning with using sealed lead-acid like our unit does, you can expand infinitely by adding more batteries to increase the run time of your items and also allowing to add additional solar panels to decrease the recharge time of the entire system.
- Reliability is another reason. Companies like Tesla and Samsung use lithium batteries and they have had issues in the past with items catching on fire. The quality control is critical with Lithium batteries and our volume cannot compete with the companies mentioned above and if they are having quality issues, we would most likely experience similar issues just in a larger volume. It is not worth the risk or harm to our customers to save weight on the product.
- Cost is a large consideration as well. Lithium batteries are very expensive in comparison to sealed lead-acid and our mission is and has been to deliver a high quality product at affordable price points for our customers.
- Lithium batteries do not perform well in colder temperatures. Colder temperatures can degrade the output ability of a lithium battery.
- The lithium battery technology is new, 25 years old whereas sealed lead-acid has been in existence for over 100 years. There is a significant sense of reliability and trust.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

I asked Google Gemini AI if switching the Nature's Generator Elite - wind and solar inputs would cause a problem. It said it should work fine if you do not exceed the 300-watt max input ratings. I noticed that the input connectors are keyed differently so that mistake cannot happen. If the other end of the cables is the same, they could be accidentally switched. If that happened, would it cause a problem. I would imagen if it caused a problem that is why those inputs are keyed to prevent any problems. If it is not a problem, then leaving the inputs exactly the same would give us the ability to go all solar or all wind or any combination of that as long the 300-watt max input is not exceeded. Please give us your expiation on this. Thank you.
Hi Dan,
Thank you for reaching out with your concern. The solar and wind input of the generator is not the same since using a wind turbine to the solar input of the generator is not compatible, same thing with solar panels going to wind input. The reason is that they use different charge controllers. The charge controller of the solar panels is built inside the generator while the wind turbine have an external charge controller built-in the cable of the wind turbine. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

Greetings, I have a Nature Generator with the extra battery pod. I plugged in a portable AV which needs 115 V 103.5v min. 126.5v max power supply and the generator started beeping and then the AC went off. The generator is fully charged and connected to the batter. I tried it twice and it did this. What might be going on? Thank you. Patrisia Gonzales
Hi Patrisia,
Thanks for your query! If the generator suddenly shuts off but the battery is fully charged and it still provides 120VAC, the most possible issue of the generator is the temperature. Kindly make sure that the generator is placed in a well-ventilated area so it won't encounter a temperature problem since the operating temperature of the generator is 32-104 °F (0-40 °C).
